The California Endowment Statement on AAPI Violence in Atlanta
Once again, we are witnessing horrific violence against our Asian American Pacific Islander community. We send our condolences and stand in outrage with our AAPI brothers and sisters following the murders of 8 innocent victims in Atlanta. This racist violence must stop. We all need to stand in solidarity against it.
As our sister in the struggle Yuri Kochiyama said “Life is not what you alone make it. Life is the input of everyone who touched your life and every experience that entered it. We are all part of one another.”
The California Endowment will continue to denounce this racist and violent behavior and will remain in strong unending support of our AAPI organizations and community.
