At The California Endowment, we recognize that living out our core diversity, equity, and inclusion values requires ongoing attention, practice, and reflection on our work.

Regularly conducting a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Audit is one way that we ensure that we’re holding ourselves accountable to these values while striving for continuous improvement.

This August 2017 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Audit presents key areas of progress and opportunity. The findings and considerations presented support TCE in a process of reflection, engagement, and action related to the values and principles that are at the core of our mission. By openly reflecting on our progress and challenges related to diversity, equity and inclusion, we hope that the audit fosters a broader culture of continuous improvement where we challenge ourselves to always do better and to advance—for the field, for our staff, and for the communities we ultimately serve.
