Health4All Report on Healthcare access
As California grapples with policy considerations to improve the health system and to provide health coverage and access for all through a unified financing system, voices from people of color, LGBTQ+, Indigenous and other underrepresented Californians continue to be missing from these policy conversations. The California Endowment, together with the California Health Care Foundation and the California Community Foundation, commissioned a multi-method stakeholder input process to hear from underrepresented Californians about their priorities and hopes for a reimagined health system for all. Over 2000 Californians with low incomes contributed their perspectives into this process through polling, interviews and research, and their voices are captured in this report: Community Voices: Priorities and Preferences of Californians with Low Incomes for Health Care Reform. The findings were presented to the Healthy California for All Commission during a public webinar and the report is also available for partners and anyone working to advance and improve health in California.
